How To Apply For Acceptance To Bel-Rea

1. Request information and speak with an Admissions Advisor.

2. Read Bel-Rea's catalog.

3. Complete the Free Application For Acceptance. Right-click here and select "Save link as" to download the application. Edit the application in the Adobe Acrobat Reader and save it. You cannot save your form if you edit it in a browser.

  • The application is a writable PDF.  Feel free to download the application, fill it out, save it, and email the application to your Admissions Advisor.
  • Please note:  Writable PDFs are not currently mobile device friendly.  Please utilize a desktop or laptop to complete your application.  You are also welcome to mail, fax, or bring your application to campus if you are unable ot email it.

4. Submit official high school transcripts or official proof of High School Equivalency Diploma/Certificate and scores. 

  • We recommend ordering transcripts as early as possible in your application process.
  • When ordering official eTranscripts, have them sent to transcripts@belrea.edu.
  • High School Transcripts: Please check with your high school for how to order transcripts or utilize online sites such as www.parchment.com.  You are also welcome to hand deliver an official transcript in a sealed envelope signed by your school's registrar.  IMPORTANT:  If your immunization records are available through your high school, have them sent to you so you can take them to your physical exam (required later for enrollment).
  • Equivalency Transcripts: Please check with your testing center or utilize online sites such as www.diplomasender.com (HISET, TASC, or GED), www.gedtestingcenter.com (GED), or www.hiset.ets.org (HISET).

Current high school students or those actively pursuing an equivalency diploma are welcome to apply before graduation or completion.  Official documentation of graduation or completion will be required for enrollment.

5. Tour the campus - available through your Admissions Advisor.

6. Take the Admissions Entrance Exam - schedule through your Admissions Advisor.

  • Required only for applicants with a high school cumulative GPA below 2.4, a high school equivalency diploma/certificate, or those that attended high school outside of the United States.
  • Waived for applicants who have earned a Bachelor's degree or higher in the United States (official transcripts required).


SMART ACTIONS TO TAKE AS SOON AS YOU APPLY:

A. Apply for Financial Aid.

B. Apply for Veteran's Benefits - Veterans, military spouses, or children of those who serve may qualify.

C. Order official college transcripts, official military transcripts, and/or official AP Exam Scores - for those who want to waive credits at Bel-Rea due to previous college, military, or AP coursework.

D. Apply for disability accommodations, if-needed.

E. Discuss any concerns about criminal history, if-needed.

The Veterinary Medicine Field is one that is regulated by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and state credentialing organizations. Bring your completed 2015 tax return (and your parent's return if you are a dependentent student and our financial aid advisor will assist you with filling out your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
