Arvada Flats Veterinary Hospital is a six doctor small animal practice located in West Arvada in the foothills near Golden and Boulder, Colorado. We are owned by Dr Gretchen Bassett who has been owner of the clinic since 2000. Dr Bassett is a Colorado native who went to high school in Arvada and enjoys the community feel that our clinic shares with our team members and clients. We have truly great clientele and are rarely limited in our ability to practice outstanding medicine for our patients. Our client base has been visiting the clinic for generations and appreciates the professional level of care and interactions we give. Since 2021 we have been co- owned by National Veterinary Associates which allows our employees access to a corporate entity providing great health benefits, growth opportunities and many helpful resources.

Our clinic offers general medicine, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, radiology, and a high level in-house laboratory for cats and dogs, as well as some rare exotic pet visits. In addition we will have emergency visits, specialty surgeons and radiologists frequently throughout the week.

Technicians are cross- trained in all areas of the hospitals and asked to perform all tasks to which they are trained for. Our technician schedules are set schedules, but have variety each week offering the technician a true ‘rotation’ feel of each area of the hospital and the opportunity to work with teammates within the clinic that they feel most supported by. We have a low level of turnover and our management works hard to ensure each employee feels supported and appreciated.
