Job Description

We are offering a $5,000 Signing Bonus for this position! 
Summary: Mountain Vet to Pet was established in 2004 to meet the needs of geriatric patients in the Evergreen and surrounding communities. The practice has since expanded providing care for all the life stages of dogs, cats and ferrets. In 2007, the clinical facility was added providing a more comprehensive practice. Our philosophy is to provide quality compassionate care, at an affordable price in a warm, inviting environment that limits the stress and anxiety of our special companions and their caregivers. We are looking to add a Certified Veterinary Technician with at least one year of experience to our team.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Checks patient medical records for past histories, enters in computer and files.
  • Admits and discharges patients.
  • Takes, processes and logs prescription refills in-house, call out pharmacy and online pharmacy.
  • Monitoring hospital patients and logging vital signs.
  • Administering medications to patients as needed.
  • Placing catheters and performing blood draws.
  • Reading fecal and urine samples.
  • Restraining and assisting the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
  • Takes medical histories and vital signs of patients.
  • Maintains client educational material in an efficient manner.
  • Performs departmental housekeeping duties.
  • Communicate with clients and team members effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must be able to multi-task. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education/Experience: 
Active veterinary technician’s license, registration, or certification. One year experience preferred.

Compensation Range:
$20-$26/hour dependent upon experience.
