Job Description
VRCC Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital is a 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital located in Englewood, Colorado. We see patients from both referrals from general practice veterinarians, as well as directly from clients in need of specialty veterinary care for their pets. We specialize in Cardiology, Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology & Radiation Therapy, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue Surgery.

As an Emergency Technician, you will work closely with our emergency team to provide excellent patient care, perform diagnostics, and communicate with the clients of emergency patients. Working with our Emergency team offers the opportunity to expand upon your knowledgebase and skillset. The Emergency team also works to collaborate on patient care for hospitalized patients. We are looking for a skilled technician emergency experience and a dedication for patient care
Position Overview:
Veterinary Technician Supervisor supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. You will assist in providing patient care, conducting examinations, assisting during sedated procedures, patient care for in-patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
What you’ll do:
Supervise the flow of the ER ensuring patients are being seen efficiently
Supervise treatments and check in with patient care throughout your shift
Communicate with DVM’s as necessary in reference to staffing and patient load
Create a shift plan for patient care, ER, triage
Assist with scheduling to include communication with the staff members, mark callouts on schedule when received, and communicates with ER manager for concerns or changes
Provided training and support for ER staff members
Provides feedback and written assessments
Acts as a mediator between staff members to assist in resolving interpersonal conflict, defers to ER manager if necessary to escalate
Ability to perform all Level III Veterinary Technicians skills
Who you are:
- Registered Veterinary Technician license holder
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- At Least 2 years in an ER/Specialty hospital

Pay Range
$24—$30 USD
