Who We’re Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. We strive to give our customers the best-personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our awesome staff!

Requirements:

• 3+ years of veterinary experience
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
• TPR
• Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
• Placing IV catheters
• Digital radiology including positioning
• Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)
• Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
• Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue
• Excellent client communication/education
• Availability to occasionally work uncommon hours and overtime and to be recalled in emergencies.
• Excellent animal-handling skills
• Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• A commitment to outstanding client service.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stay on task and work energetically for the entire shift, sometimes exceeding 10 hours per day.
