Loving Family Animal Hospital is looking for a new to the field Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are a multi-doctor, companion animal hospital that is proudly AAHA-accredited and has served Aurora for years.

Individuals with 1+ years of prior veterinary experience and excellent communication skills are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time role (4-10s) for Monday-Fridays with rotating Saturday coverage.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of current, hands-on veterinary experience
• Passionate about CE and opportunities for career growth
• Takes pride in being punctual, dependable, and reliable
• Self-starters who take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Experience with Cornerstone and exotic medicine is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Client communication and education
• Obtaining and recording patient history
• Patient physical assessment
• Gentle restraint and handling
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• In house laboratory procedures
• Microscopic evaluation
• Drug calculations
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Inducing and monitoring anesthesia
• Dental prophylaxis and radiographs
• Patient recovery and nursing care

Full-time benefits and compensation:

• Competitive pay: $24 – $28/hour (based on experience)
