his work unit exists to provide anesthesia support for research projects, continuing education laboratories, and client owned animals undergoing MRI, CT, and surgery. The technician monitors physiological parameters, assesses physiological status related to anesthesia and surgery, and provides life- saving measures as indicated by the individual patient. This position also exists to provide routine to extensive emergency medical treatment to sustain the patient throughout the procedure and into the recovery period. This position will provide anesthesia for some non-recovery procedures requiring humane euthanasia while under anesthesia.
