Community Pet Hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at our main hospital in Thornton.  We are a 24/7 general practice and emergency center that sees a variety of cases ranging from preventative wellness to critical care.  The assistant supports our skilled patient care team by assisting with treatments, performing restraint, radiographs, lab work, surgical prep, veterinary nursing care and more.

Successful candidates show initiative, have a strong desire to learn and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.  This is a great opportunity for technician students as we offer on the job advancement into a technician position!  Hours are evenings and weekends.

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assists Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with treatments, nursing care and exam room procedures.
• Takes quality x-rays, performs lab work and participates as a valued member of the patient care team during the course of caring for clients and patients.
