Whether you’re currently transitioning out of serving in the military, or you’ve been out for a while, if you love animals and are interested in a medical career, consider becoming a veterinary technician!

Veteran's Benefits At Bel-Rea:

The veterinary technology program at Bel-Rea is approved for veterans training by the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veteran's Education and Training and participates in all of the Department of Veteran's Affairs education benefits programs. 

·       Veterans, military spouses, or children of those who serve may qualify – please speak with Bel-Rea’s Veteran’s Certifying Official in the Financial Aid Office for more information.  303-751-8700, 800-950-8001.

Spouses of active military are encouraged to also apply for MyCAA - the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Scholarship, a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in tuition assistance to eligible military spouses.

Bel-Rea evaluates military transcripts for coursework completed during military service to assess if an applicant can waive any academic credits at Bel-Rea. 

Bel-Rea also has a Veteran Students’ Connection organization that meets quarterly to share community resources, provide tips for transitioning smoothly to a civilian education setting, and connect upper quarter Veteran students to incoming Veteran students to provide mentorship and a sense of camaraderie.
