Veteran’s Benefits

Veterans, military spouses, or children of those who serve may qualify for Veteran’s education benefits while attending Bel-Rea. The veterinary technology program at Bel-Rea is approved for Veteran’s training by the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veteran’s Education and Training and participates in all of the Department of Veteran’s Affairs education benefits programs.

To apply for benefits, please speak with Bel-Rea’s Veteran’s Certifying Official in the Financial Aid Office at (303) 751-8700 or (800) 950-8001 (toll free).

Spouses of active military are also encouraged to apply for MyCAA – the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Scholarship, a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in tuition assistance to eligible military spouses.

Have military coursework? Bel-Rea evaluates military transcripts for coursework completed during military service to assess if an applicant can waive any academic credits at Bel-Rea. When ordering official e-transcripts, have them sent to transcripts@belrea.edu.

Bel-Rea has a Veteran Students’ Connection organization that meets quarterly to exchange resources, provide tips for transitioning smoothly to a civilian education setting, and connect upper quarter Veteran students with incoming Veteran students to provide mentorship and build community.
