Job Description
NOW HIRING
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
$22 – $25 per hour
Schedule: 40-hour work week | 7:15 AM – 6:00 PM | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
On-Call: Rotating weekends or holidays as needed to care for hospitalized patients
Key Responsibilities
– Induce anesthesia, intubate patients, and monitor anesthesia
– Accurately calculate medication dosages
– Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
– Perform dental prophylaxis and obtain dental radiographs
– Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and surgery
– Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
– Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
Qualifications
– Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or eligibility
– Experience with anesthesia induction, intubation, and monitoring
– Ability to calculate drug dosages accurately
– Experience performing dental cleanings and dental radiographs
– Strong technical and patient care skills
– Must possess excellent client communication skills
– Ability to safely handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
