Health & Safety
In an emergency, please call 9-1-1 for assistance.
Check out the Community Resource List for information on local low cost veterinary care, counseling and crisis resources, learning disability resources, low cost medical and dental care, and much more!
Please visit your Campus Safety page for information on emergencies, local hospitals, and personal safety.
Information on the Rabies Pre-Exposure Vaccine is available on your Student Rabies Vaccination Policy page.
Students who are Military Veterans – check out the Veteran’s Resources page.
Health insurance coverage was mandated for all individuals in the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare). If you do not have coverage through your employment, your spouse or partner, the military, or your parents, you will need to obtain coverage. We highly encourage students to apply for Medicaid before purchasing a health insurance plan. Read this Affordable Care Act Information to find out more. Note: We will post updates here as changes occur.
Veterinary Organization Memberships for Students
Bel-Rea sponsors a Student Membership for all current students with the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CACVT). Utilize these directions to activate your FREE CACVT membership. Check out these additional memberships available to vet tech students.
