Who We Are

Cement Creek Veterinary Hospital is a brand new, purpose-built hospital opening in July 2026. We are built for growth (3400 sq ft) with a dedicated surgery suite, dental suite, cat room, isolation room, observation room, large treatment area, and 4 exam rooms. We are located less than 1 mile from National Forest land and trails.

We built Cement Creek Veterinary Hospital around one idea: leave what we touch better than we found it. That applies to our team, patients, and clients. We believe in modern and transparent medicine, honest and compassionate communication, and making sure people understand their options for their beloved pets. Whether it’s a routine visit or a harder conversation, we show up with clarity, empathy, and a plan that makes sense for the patient and the person sitting in front of us.

Crested Butte South is a small, beautiful mountain community with a unique mix of full-time locals, ranch and working dogs, outdoor and adventure-focused pets, and seasonal visitors. We are rural in setting but serve a community that also has a strong recreation and resort presence.

This means a wide range of cases, a wide range of client expectations, and a strong emphasis on clear communication and flexibility in care plans. Our clients are generally engaged, thoughtful, and invested in their pets, and we value meeting them where they are while still practicing good medicine.

Who You Are
You’re a credentialed technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) who wants to use your skills and your brain. You want to understand the case, anticipate what’s needed, and be part of delivering exceptional medicine and experience.
You care about patients and how people feel while they’re here. You can read a nervous pet and a nervous client and adjust accordingly.
You’re self-aware, collaborative, and open to getting better.

The Role
We are a small but mighty team. We rely on our technicians to function at a high level and fully utilize their skills. You will work closely with our doctors to deliver high-quality care while helping create a calm, supportive experience for both clients and patients.

What You’ll Be Doing

Medical and Technical

• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Surgical prep and patient recovery

• Dental radiographs and cleanings

• Full-body radiographs

• In-house diagnostics and lab work

• Hospitalized patient care

Workflow and Team Support

• Medical record documentation

• Maintain efficient patient/exam flow without compromising care

• Anticipate doctor needs and next steps

• Help build and improve systems and the team as we grow

• Support overall hospital flow, including room turnover and maintaining clean, organized treatment areas as needed

Client Communication

• Explain discharge instructions clearly

• Help clients understand options without pressure

• Communicate negative bloodwork results as needed

• Answer phones, texts, and emails when needed

• Credentialed technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)

• Strong, efficient technical skills

• Critical thinking and curiosity

• Clear and proactive communication with clients and team

• Steady in busy, high-stress, or demanding situations (we know everyone has off days and that’s okay)

• Ownership of your role and your growth

• We prioritize low stress handling in patient interactions and expect restraint, exams, and procedures to be performed with patience, awareness, and respect for patient comfort. Experience is a plus, and willingness to learn is required.

• Proactive when something is not working. You look for ways to improve systems, offer solutions, create efficiencies, and contribute to making the clinic and team better
