Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary practices, demonstrating both technical skills and a genuine love for animals. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team in delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Our Technicians run the show in exams, surgery and the treatment area
- Run anesthetic and sedated procedures
- Perform dental cleanings, radiographs and charting
- Assist Vets in surgical procedures
- Perform diagnostic imaging
- Venipuncture, I.V. Catheter Placement
- Run In-House Idexx diagnostic blood profiles as well as microscopic evaluations on a variety of samples
- Client Education
- Administer injectable, topical and oral treatments
Qualifications
- Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Proficient in veterinary practice software
- Client-focused
- A desire to build long-term relationships with pet parents & the community
- Caring and professional
- Excellent communication skills & sense of humor
- Dedicated to the best in patient care
- Committed to client education
- Currently or eligible to be licensed in the state of Colorado
- Able to pass a background check
