Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT / LVT / CVT preferred) – Full Time or Part Time
Veterinary Technician Job | Louisville, CO
$23-$27 per hour (based on experience)
Louisville Family Animal Hospital is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our small, collaborative companion animal practice in Louisville, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who values teamwork, strong client relationships, and high-quality patient care in a growing hospital environment.
What you’ll do as part of our team:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Perform advanced techniques including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiography, and laboratory testing
- Provide compassionate patient care, restraint, and monitoring
- Educate and communicate with clients about pet health, treatment plans, and home care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ideal Candidate would have:
- Previous Veterinary Experience (1-2 years minimum)
- Active Registered/Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT/CVT/LVT) in Colorado
- Ability to handle physical demands (lifting, restraining animals) and emotional aspects of pet care
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude
- Comfortable inducing and monitoring patients under anesthesia (preferred, not required)
- Experience cleaning teeth and taking dental x-rays (preferred, not required)
- Ability to execute treatment orders as directed by a DVM (to include placing IV Catheters, phlebotomy, administering Injections, anesthesia induction and monitoring, perioperative surgical nursing etc). (preferred, not required)
