Duties

• Assist with animal restraint, handling, and behavior management to ensure safe and stress-free procedures
• Support veterinary technicians during surgeries, diagnostics, and treatments by preparing equipment and monitoring patient status
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections following veterinary protocols while maintaining strict record keeping
• Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning kennels, and maintaining hygiene standards throughout the clinic
• Handle front desk responsibilities including client communication, appointment scheduling, and record management
• Support animal intake and discharge processes with thorough pet care instructions and documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by performing thorough cleaning of treatment areas, cages, and equipment using appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Qualifications

• Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; experience with dogs, cats, or equine animals is a plus
• Veterinary technician experience or veterinary clinic experience highly desirable
• Skilled in animal restraint techniques, medication administration, IV catheter placement, and surgery support
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to follow safety protocols including PPE use and proper sanitation procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassion for animals and clients
