Biography:
Amber graduated from Pickens Technical College in 2002 with a degree in Automotive Repair. In 2006, she graduated from Bel-Rea with high honors. Amber interned with Littleton Large Animal but found that she wanted to focus on small animal. She then worked for Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital, a non-profit focused on spay/neuter services, as Head Technician and Intern Coordinator for five years. Her passion for surgery and interest in orthopedic veterinary medicine led to her working for Hampden Family Pet Hospital. Even though she enjoyed the challenge of surgery, from thoracotomies to laparoscopic spays, Amber missed sharing her skills with others and switched to education. She continues to work part-time at veterinary hospitals around Denver. Instructor since 2015.
