Temple Grandin is an internationally renowned speaker and author on autism and animal behavior. She is currently a professor of animal science at Colorado State University and frequently speaks at conferences around the world. Dr. Grandin has been awarded numerous awards throughout her career including being named Time Magazine’s Top 100 Influential People in the “Heroes” category and being inducted in the Women’s Hall of Fame. Dr. Grandin is known for breaking down the stigma of autism as she was one of the first adults to publicly disclose that she is autistic. She has given people insight on her own challenges and experiences with autism. Dr. Grandin is also a strong proponent of proper care for livestock and has written many books and scientific articles on humane livestock handling.
